Intelligent Transportation Research: Autonomous Vehicle Development and International Competition
The NTU Intelligent Vehicle and Mechatronics Laboratory is dedicated to autonomous driving system development and full-vehicle integration. Our technical stack covers deep learning-based perception, localization, navigation, control, and Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication. The lab has participated in the Dubai World Challenge for Self-Driving Transport in 2019, 2021, and 2023, earning the Runner-up award in the Start-up category in 2019 and accumulating extensive real-world testing experience.

NTU EAT — Campus Food Delivery Robot
NTU EAT is an Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) developed by the lab, integrating multi-sensor fusion localization and dynamic obstacle avoidance algorithms. It achieves seamless indoor/outdoor navigation and interfaces with IoT-connected elevator systems to complete automatic boarding, floor traversal, and vertical delivery tasks. The system has been deployed and tested at NTU's College of Social Sciences, Taipei Expo Park, and other venues, validating a fully automated workflow from order placement to food pickup.
